We warmly welcome you to Hare Krishna Movement Raipur, a sacred center dedicated to fulfilling the spiritual mission of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the Founder-Ācārya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).
By the divine mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda, this movement is not something new—it is the eternal science of God consciousness, Sanātana Dharma, meant for the upliftment of every soul, regardless of caste, creed, or nationality.
The Purpose of This Movement
Śrīla Prabhupāda didn’t come to start a new religion. He simply presented the eternal knowledge of Bhagavad-gītā As It Is and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in a way that the modern world could understand. This movement is a genuine effort to reconnect the soul to its eternal master, Kṛṣṇa, through devotional service (bhakti-yoga), chanting, hearing, and prasāda.
The 7 Core Aims of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Mission
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), which our Raipur center is part of, is based on seven sacred objectives given personally by Śrīla Prabhupāda:
To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life to check the imbalance of values in life and achieve real unity and peace.
To propagate the consciousness of Kṛṣṇa, as it is revealed in the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
To bring the members of society closer together with each other and to Kṛṣṇa, the prime entity, thus creating a spiritual foundation for real unity and peace in the world.
To teach and encourage the saṅkīrtana movement, the congregational chanting of the holy name of God as revealed in the teachings of Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
To erect for the members and for society at large a holy place of transcendental pastimes dedicated to the personality of Godhead.
To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler, more natural way of life, based on cow protection, spiritual agriculture, and devotional culture.
To publish and distribute books, magazines, and other writings to enlighten people with Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
These seven aims are not just objectives—they are sacred vows. And in Raipur, we try our best to carry forward this mission with humility and dedication.
What We Do in Raipur
At Hare Krishna Movement Raipur, our humble efforts include:
Daily Temple Worship: Maṅgala-ārati, tulasī worship, kīrtana, and pravacana on Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books.
Sunday Love Feast: A grand celebration with Kṛṣṇa-kathā, melodious kīrtanas, and delicious prasādam.
Spiritual Festivals: Celebrating Janmāṣṭamī, Rādhāṣṭamī, Ratha Yātrā, Govardhan Pūjā, and more with full devotion.
Youth Engagement: Guiding college and school students toward a purposeful life through Bhagavad-gītā study and service.
Book Distribution: Taking Śrīla Prabhupāda’s transcendental books to every home, shop, and heart.
